Sambisari, Ijo, Mantup, Plembutan, Barong, Sari, and Kalasan Temple are few of many temples located in Yogyakarta. The features of each temple shows the historical background of its own. Some with Hinduism cultural background, and some with the Buddhism background. Kalasan, Barong, Ijo, and Sambisari are the temples near to the phenomenal Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta. Different from other temples which located in high land, one of the temple, Sambisari is located on 6.5m under ground. Sambisari Temple was built in the 10th AD century ( 812 -838 AD).
